The Washington Color School Project was founded in 2010 to support research on the history and artistic achievement of the Washington Color School, the exhibition history of the WCS, and its contribution to the cultural life of Washington in the 1960s and ’70s. The project will also collect oral histories from participants and observers, publish information on its research, and support exhibitions and other events to disseminate the work of the WCS, and assess its ongoing influence on art in Washington and elsewhere.
